Trump Blasts Putin’s Actions, Considers Harsher Sanctions
Following a devastating drone and missile barrage on Ukrainian cities that left 13 dead, including three minors, Trump expressed deep disapproval. “I’ve known Putin a long time, and I have no idea what the hell happened to him,” Trump said. “He’s killing people, bombing cities — it’s horrific, and I don’t like it one bit.”
The U.S. President also hinted at increased sanctions against Moscow in response to the escalating violence, saying he was “absolutely” open to more aggressive measures.
Truth Social Outburst: Trump Calls Putin ‘Absolutely CRAZY!’
Later, Trump doubled down with a furious post on his social media platform Truth Social, stating:

Zelensky Criticized Too: Trump Lashes Out at Ukraine Leader
Trump also took aim at Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, claiming his rhetoric is worsening the situation. “Everything Zelenskyy says just inflames the problem. It needs to stop,” Trump posted.
He reaffirmed that the war wouldn’t have started under his leadership:
“This isn’t Trump’s war — it’s Zelenskyy’s, Putin’s, and Biden’s. I’m just trying to clean up their mess.”
Russia’s Largest Strike Yet After Prisoner Swap
The attack came hours after Russia and Ukraine carried out a historic prisoner exchange, releasing nearly 1,000 captives each. Soon after, Russia launched 367 drones and missiles, many targeting the capital Kyiv and other major cities.
Among the dead were two children — aged 8 and 12 — and a 17-year-old teen, according to local officials.

President Zelensky, reacting to the latest offensive, called for increased international pressure:
“The brutality won’t end until real force is used to stop Putin. He must be forced to end the war.”
